Can you match a specific colour or design?

We can match a colour palette closely, but not a specific pattern. Metallic pigments move as the resin cures, so the marbling forms itself and no two floors are ever identical. We will show you samples in your colours so you know the character you are getting, and the variation is the point of the finish rather than a defect in it.

Is metallic as tough as a flake floor?

It sits on the same diamond-ground prep and finishes under the same protective topcoat, so the bond and the durability are comparable. The difference is that metallic is smooth rather than textured, so it shows scuffs and dust more readily than flake does. For a working garage we usually suggest flake; for a space people look at, metallic.

Where does metallic work best?

Anywhere the floor is part of the room — show garages, home gyms, showrooms, retail, offices and feature living spaces. It is at its best under good lighting, because the depth in the finish only reads when there is something for it to reflect.

Why does the slab underneath matter so much for metallic?

Because a high-gloss metallic behaves like a mirror. Every low spot, trowel mark and old patch in the concrete shows through in the finished surface. That is why the grinding stage is a bigger share of a metallic job than a flake one — flatness is bought before any colour goes down.
