A flake floor is what most homeowners picture when they think "epoxy garage." We diamond-grind the bare concrete, repair every crack and pit, then broadcast decorative flake across a pigmented base coat and lock it all in under a clear polyaspartic topcoat.
Queen Creek is where we do the most new-build flake work, and new construction carries its own trap: the slab looks perfect, so people assume it needs less prep. It needs more. The builder’s curing compound has to come off entirely before a flake broadcast will bond, and a slab poured in the last few months may still be releasing moisture.
New-build garages arrive sealed. Production builders spray a curing compound on the slab and it stays there — which is exactly what a coating cannot bond through. On a Queen Creek new build the grind is not optional prep, it is the whole job.
